About Me

Thanks for visiting my blog!  I'm Emily.  I have been developing and fine-tuning my skills in photography for a good part of my 25 years.  I got my first camera when I was ten and have been hooked ever since.  Professionally I've worked at a studio in Minnetonka, MN and with a photographer named Renee out of Central Minnesota.  (See her website here.)  Renee helped me to become confident with high school senior sessions as well as children and family sessions.  My favorite type of session is couples, whether it's their engagement, maternity or anniversary.  Capturing that love is an honor for me.  I also love photographing seniors, freezing their accomplishment and personality in time.  I also do newborns, children, families and pets and love these sessions as well!  Some of my favorite places to photograph people are Minnehaha Falls, Centennial Lakes Park and my hometown, but I love exploring new territory.  I have a laid-back style of photography.  I prefer to interact with the people I'm working with.  I want everyone involved in each session to feel comfortable because that allows me to take great photos.  I love taking pictures and I hope everyone I work with loves what I can capture for them!

Outside of photography I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog Comet.  We love walks, traveling, watching documentaries and cooking.  Personally I love to read and do anything crafty.  I look forward to hearing from you!  Click here to contact me.
